Arthroscopic surgery

Arthroscopic surgery is an operation performed with special surgical instruments through small incisions made to enter the joint. With a small optical lens and an illumination system placed in a thin instrument called an arthroscope, the inside of the joint is magnified and reflected on a screen. With the help of this image, the orthopedic surgeon can determine the problem in the joint and perform the necessary surgical treatment. Arthroscopic surgery, also known as closed joint surgery, is a lower risk surgery with a shorter recovery period.
